"George Bush and the Rhetoric Of Evil"
Opinion By Greg Forest

It's been a dizzying week.  Last night George Bush gave probably the most lame and at the same time frightening speech I've heard yet.  Here is some of the cowboy terminology that has surfaced in the last few weeks - George Bush has quite a lexicon.

  • Preemptive Defense (same as Hitler's justification)
  • Nuclear Devices (can't believe he actually put this card on the table)
  • With or Without Our Allies (Pax Americana - global domination, U.N. be damned)
  • Homeland Defense (still haven't figured out why he didn't call it Fatherland, considering who his dad is)
  • Un-American Activities (see McCarthy rant elsewhere on this site)
  • Axis of Evil (changes membership as the targets move. I remember the old days of February when the "axis" was Al Quaeda, Iraq & North Korea.  Think its Iraq, Iran & North Korea this week)*
  • Evildoers (did he find this term in some Fundamentalist Christian 3rd grade primer?)
  • Let There Be No Mistake (except his)

This is very scary rhetoric from a very narrow minded world view.  Actually down here in Texas we have another word for this kind of speech, "them's fightin' words."  Bottom line is George, like his father is a sissy that could get his ass kicked by any anorexic 13-year old 97-pound weakling.  His impotence is manifested in his belief system.  It doesn't matter that just about everything he believes in is utter horse shit, he has faith strong enough to counter any truth.

The language that George Bush is using with the entire world, not just our enemies, are the words of a bully.  If your neighbor used this sort of rhetoric you would probably call the police or sic your dog on them.  Unfortunately the global forum for reason and diplomacy, the U.N., has been totally emasculated by Bush's actions.  The hard work of decades of the U.S. Foreign Service has been thrown out the window.  In Bush's pea brain, he is not only right but righteous - you're either with him or against him.  There is no middle ground.  Well George, Dick and John, I am against you and think you are the biggest threat to this Republic and world peace that the nation has ever seen.  I really don't know how this man can sleep at night.  The Bush administration is a total disavowal of everything this country stands for; compassion, liberty, freedom and personal rights.

This administration wants you scared. They are the ones that are instilling terror in the citizenry not some whacked out suicide bomber.

So in less than 48 hours we are going to kill thousands of Iraqis.  Bush's ultimatum is wishful thinking - Saddam is not going to vanish quietly into the night.  He is probably going down in flaming glory - after unleashing whatever weapons he has left on our men and women in uniform and probably Israel.  Israel has it coming and it is apparent that King George has no intention of trying to keep them on a lease this time.  I approve of Israel fighting the Arab world - its what they live for over there.  I just don't see it as our fight.  But I have been cursed with a brain and nose large enough to smell lies and dirty dealing.  The media in this country should be drawn and quartered for their shameless support of this domestic regime of unadulterated, pure redneck, old time religious... hmmm the word escapes me.... ah ha.... EVILDOERS!
