Mr. Smarty Pants Radio Active

RadioActive

It can sometimes be hard living in a community where your political and theological opinions and beliefs make you a member of a very small minority. As abrasive as I get at times, I also just keep my head down and mouth shut to keep some semblance of being “normal.” But even in my community I have been able to find outlets for my rants and ravings.

Local radio personality and pundit, James Williamson would preach the GOP gospel from his talking points memos received from Glenn Beck, Fox and other conservative outlets. James is without doubt a conservative’s conservative but, beyond that, he is also a nice guy that is willing to listen, if not agree, with other political theories. First time I called to his program in I was fixin’ to bust a gasket over some right wing nonsense he had just spouted and he was able to bring me down enough to have a real conversation.

Over the next year or so we had a great on-air relationship. James has moved on to another market and has a new career as an almost full-time grandpa. I certainly miss James and hope he does as well in the future as he has in the past. For your abrasive listening enjoyment, I go radio active.
